February is Spay/Neuter Awareness Month: Be the Solution to Their Suffering

Imagine a life trapped in a cage, surrounded by filth and echoing cries through cold corridors.

For countless homeless cats and dogs trapped in overcrowded shelters, this isn’t just a bad dream. It’s their reality every single day.

Just three weeks after opening, an animal shelter hit 200% capacity in New York. Dogs are crammed into dirty kennels, lying on torn bedding and surrounded by their waste, a heartbreaking cry for help.

Overwhelmed staff do their best but cannot keep up with the unending wave of animals needing care.

This crisis is growing every day.

Most shelters cannot handle the overwhelming number of homeless animals.
Most shelters cannot handle the overwhelming number of homeless animals.

As you know, countless street dogs and cats die from hunger, injury, or disease.

Those lucky enough to survive often face being put to death or years of waiting in overcrowded shelters, hoping for a forever home.

The problem is, surgical spay and neuter efforts simply cannot keep up with the unfathomable number of dogs and cats born each year.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, 2.7 million companion animals did not get spayed or neutered.

“We’ve never encountered a problem this massive before, and it may affect us for 10 years — all those unwanted litters,” said Laurette Richin, founder of Long Island Bulldog Rescue.

Many scientists agree that the only way to stop this cycle of suffering is with a groundbreaking, permanent solution.

That’s why our mission is to end the #1 cause of suffering and death for dogs and cats – overpopulation – by developing a permanent-lasting birth control cookie that will only need to be eaten one time, and it will in effect spay or neuter – without surgery.

February is Spay/Neuter Awareness Month, and it’s time we revolutionize how we address the overpopulation crisis.

While spay and neuter surgeries help, they cannot keep pace with the sheer scale of the problem.

Behind every kennel door is a life hanging in the balance. Without immediate action, more dogs and cats will be lost to neglect, illness, or death.

It’s time for an upgrade — a humane, cost-effective, accessible, and innovative solution to end the #1 cause of suffering facing dogs and cats.

Alexander, suffering street dogs and their unborn puppies are counting on you.

Please make a life-saving gift now for as little as $5 a month.
