They will love you, will you love them?

My name is Lucy.
Before Team 600 found me, I slept curled up in the mud under a porch.
I was shivering, starving, and tired of running from people who threw rocks at me instead of showing kindness.
I had no one. No food. No name.
Then something changed.
A hand reached out. A warm blanket – wrapped around my shivering body.
For the first time in my life, I had a friend.
That was the day I learned what kindness was like.
This is “Be Kind to Animals” Week.
But for homeless animals like me, kindness shouldn't last just a week.
One of the very best ways to show kindness is to rescue a homeless dog or cat.
Another terrific way is to foster or adopt a soul who needs you.
Believe me, even if it’s only for a while, a warm bed and a loving touch can heal us more than you’ll ever know.
For homeless animals like me, kindness is everything.
But there’s one more way to show kindness — a way that will not only save lives today but protect countless lives forever.
You’ve heard the saying: Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day.
Teach him to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.
It’s the same for dogs like me.
When you rescue one of us, you save one life today.
But when you stop the next generation from being born into fear and hunger... you save a whole world of lives.
That’s what Team 600 is doing — and that’s why I’m so proud to be part of it.
We are creating a permanent solution.
A one-time birth control Cookie that, once eaten, will spay or neuter a homeless dog or cat.
One Cookie. One bite.
And no more unwanted litters.
No more moms starving behind dumpsters.
No more dying under cars.
No more tiny cries that go unheard.
This Cookie is the kindest thing we can do for dogs and cats like me — because it will prevent entire future generations from ever suffering the way I did.
We are ending the suffering where it starts — at the source.
Not managing the problem.
Not delaying the problem.
Ending the problem completely.
If you believe in kindness, not just for today but forever, this is your moment.
Because this life-saving mission depends on people like you.
Will you help build a kinder world with us?
Thank you for showing love for homeless animals like me.
With a grateful heart,

Lucy
