They were left to die together in silence

Our names are Anya and Bindi.
We were living in a forgotten room with no door, hiding in the back corner of an abandoned construction site.
The bricks cracked and broken, the wind came in through holes in the wall, and the days passed with no one around.
More than 18 miles from help, we were stranded on the edge of a quiet village.
We were always hungry.
There was no food or water — just scraps that we could find on the ground.
We cowered in the corner when the 600 rescue team arrived — years of survival had taught us caution.
We thought they might hurt us like others had done before.
But gentle hands and soft voices promised something we had never known: safety.
That dungeon of a room could have been the end for us. Instead, it was the beginning.
Now, we sleep without shaking, eat without rushing, and no longer feel like ghosts.
We are safe and know what love feels like.
But we are just two out of millions.
Many of our brothers and sisters are suffering out there — just as scared and hungry, still waiting in the dark for someone who may never come.
That’s why we’re part of something bigger.
At 600MillionDogs, we are creating a permanent solution.
A one-time birth control Cookie that, once eaten, will spay or neuter a homeless dog or cat.
For as little as $5 a month, you can help create this permanent change, not just managing suffering, but ending it completely.
Thank you for caring for and helping animals like us.
With love,
Anya and Bindi
