They laugh as animals suffer — help end it

A CNN investigation has uncovered videos of cats being burned, mutilated, drowned, and electrocuted for money.
The victims are usually kittens — small, trusting, and helpless.
Some are forced into blenders, while others are set on fire or beaten until they stop moving.
Their suffering is recorded, sold, and watched for entertainment.
The BBC found more of the same — underground torture groups sharing and selling these videos, laughing as the animals suffer.
Many of these cruel “networks” started in China, where there are still no national laws protecting cats or dogs from abuse.
But the horror has spread far beyond China.
Investigators found that members of these groups are now in the U.S., posting and selling the same kind of videos.
In the U.S., there is no strong federal law that makes sharing or profiting from this kind of cruelty clearly illegal.
That is why we are calling on the U.S. Congress to take action now.
We are urging Congress to denounce these global torture networks publicly and to pass laws that hold online platforms responsible when they allow this content to spread.
Other countries — from the EU to the UK — have already taken steps to stop illegal and violent material online.
It is time for the U.S. to lead too.
Every hour, new torture videos are uploaded.
Every hour, another life ends in fear and pain.
Please, add your name to the petition calling on Congress to stand against this cruelty.
Because no animal should ever suffer for someone’s entertainment.
Together, we can help make the world a safer place for every cat — and put an end to this cruelty forever.
Thank you for taking action on behalf of animals.
