She almost died giving birth — until help arrived.

Gracie was not supposed to make it.
She was lying under the rusted wreck of a car in a junkyard — Skin and bones, barely breathing, too weak to stand.
She was dying.
But she was also carrying life inside her.
No one knew she was pregnant until hours later, after our vet lifted her from the rubble and felt the tiny heartbeats.
Hope had been hiding in that wreck, clinging to the last bit of strength she had — for them.
In our care, she gave birth to three puppies — two boys and one girl.
We named the little girl Kona.
She is pictured above, cuddled against her mom.
They are alive because someone like you made it possible.
On this Mother’s Day, we honor all the mothers who give everything — even their last breath — to protect their babies.
Hope’s story is rare.
Most stray moms are not found in time.
That is why we are working on a one-time, permanent birth control Cookie—for dogs and cats.
One Cookie. One bite.
No more litter.
No more dying under cars.
The Cookie isn’t just a rescue — it’s a permanent solution.
A future without suffering, where no mom has to give birth into hunger, fear and, or pain.
Will you help make it real?
Thank you for caring for animals like Hope and Kona.
