Rescue Update: How You Helped Save Dixie 🐶

Updated: Sep 27

This is how we found Dixie. The smell of garbage was overpowering.

When Team 600 found Dixie, she was living in such foul-smelling conditions, it was hard for us to bear it.

Dixie had no relief from the sweltering sun. She was sniffing through garbage, desperate for anything to eat in the rotting waste.

When we were finally able to approach her with water, she gulped it down frantically.

We brought Dixie to our veterinarian for much-needed care. Now she’s one of our adored Pilot Pups!

After being cleared by the veterinarian, she was given a trial One-Dose Spay and Neuter Cookie, formulated with a safe, low dose of the birth control ingredients we're studying and developing.

After eating the trial Cookie, each Pup undergoes routine spay or neuter surgery. Instead of discarding the ovaries, we preserve the tissues and examine them to determine the Cookie's effectiveness.

Dixie is safe now. We believe all dogs and cats deserve the same!

Our Pups' health and happiness are our top priorities. They are cared for by a veterinarian or in a loving home, never a laboratory.

Our mission is to end the number 1 cause of suffering and death for dogs and cats -- overpopulation -- by developing a permanent-lasting birth control cookie that will only need to be eaten one time, and it will in effect spay or neuter -- without surgery.

Join the fight against the number 1 cause of suffering for dogs and cats for as little as $5 a month!

Thank you very much for caring about animals!
