Dogs being shot: please share this news article to save strays!

Updated: Aug 1

Dogs being shot, stray dog, bahrain

Finally, a ray of hope for Bahrain's suffering stray dogs, and you can help with one easy action! The Bahrain SPCA has filed a police complaint about the systematic, cruel shootings of stray dogs, AND a major Bahrain news outlet reported on it.

Many citizens' complaints have been ignored by the police, and the homeless dogs have received the WRONG kind of media attention. Starving, friendly dogs were portrayed as dangerous, while in reality they are desperately in need of loving homes.

Please THANK Gulf Daily News for this article about the dogs!

Feel free to copy/paste this comment or write your own: "GDN, thank you for this article. Please do more like it. I care deeply about animals. Bahrain residents who love animals need to be heard so that stray dogs will be rescued instead of killed!"

Please LIKE, SHARE, OR COMMENT on the story on whichever platform you feel most comfortable using:

From the April 29, 2024 article "Animal shelter urges action after deaths of stray dogs": “The (alleged) killings must be stopped immediately, and there should be more effort in finding the people behind them,” said BSPCA chairman Mahmood Faraj to the local news source GDN. “We are aware that the killings have been going on for quite a while now; more effort should be exerted into saving these animals instead of killing them.”

Thanks so much for taking action to help suffering stray dogs!

Please help us continue this type of work.

You can help us stop the suffering before it begins, for as little as $1 a month.

Our mission is to end the number 1 cause of suffering and death for dogs and cats -- overpopulation -- by developing a permanent-lasting birth control cookie that will only need to be eaten one time, and it will in effect spay or neuter -- without surgery.
