This month, we celebrate Happy Cat Month, a time to honor the incredible felines who bring so much joy and love into our lives.
It is a celebration of the special bond we share and a reminder that every cat deserves a life full of care, comfort, and happiness.
Today, we celebrate two cats who found their way home against all odds.
One cat, Kurt, spent eight long months alone inside a house after his guardian passed away.
He waited in silence, surrounded by emptiness, with no one to hold him.
A caretaker left food at the door, but no kind hands reached out to comfort him.
By the time help arrived, he was weak, covered in cuts, and too tired to even groom himself.
Yet, with patience and love, he began to heal.
Today, he stretches in the sun and follows his new family from room to room, never letting them out of his sight.
Another cat, Aggie, survived a fire that reduced her home to ashes.
She vanished in the smoke and was thought to be gone forever.
For nearly two months, she clung to life in the ruins of her home, hungry and afraid.
When she was finally found, thin and trembling, her guardian broke down in tears as she held her again.
That moment showed the true bond between cats and the people who love them.
These stories shine a light on the strength of cats and the deep love they inspire.
But for millions of homeless cats, the comfort and care they deserve never come.
The world's 600 million stray dogs and 87 million stray cats give birth to over 1 billion homeless puppies and kittens every year.
Tragically, those who survive also reproduce and give birth to another generation of homeless strays - thus repeating the cycle of suffering every year.
This is why we are developing a one-time, permanent-lasting, birth control Cookie that, when eaten, will spay or neuter a homeless dog or cat without surgery, to end the overpopulation crisis.
With your help, this year's Cat Month can bring us closer to a world where no cat is born into suffering.
Thank you for helping animals and for caring about animals.
