Where Are the Missing Animals? Help Find Them
15 dogs were rescued from a Mississippi property where investigators found animals severely malnourished and without adequate food or water.
The dogs were taken for veterinary care.
But a horse, a donkey, goats, and chickens previously seen on the property were allegedly taken away after the owner was instructed not to move any animals during the cruelty investigation.
Where were they taken?
Are they safe?
Has anyone checked whether they have food, water, shelter, and the medical care they may need?
Nobody can answer.
The last time anyone saw these animals, they were starving, and have not been seen since.
Now, nobody knows where the missing animals are or whether they are still being denied the food, water, and care they need.
Sheriff Travis Patten leads the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, whose deputies investigated the case and rescued the dogs.
His office investigated the case, so the Sheriff must help locate the missing animals, inspect their condition, and hold those responsible fully accountable.
The court case has resulted in convictions on only six counts of simple cruelty to out of the 35 initial charges.
The Adams County prosecuting attorney must pursue all remaining appropriate charges.
These animals cannot ask for help.
They cannot tell us where they are or what they are enduring.
We must keep demanding answers until someone accounts for them.
Please sign our petition demanding that Sheriff Patten help locate the missing animals and hold those responsible fully accountable.
We are also urging the Adams County prosecuting attorney to review every remaining avenue for accountability in this case.
