Stop Hunters From Tearing Wolf Family Apart

Wolf pups deserve to grow up with their family.

Right now, one of Yellowstone's best-known wolf families is living under the threat of being killed.

Mollie's Pack is raising five young pups outside the safety of Yellowstone National Park after leaving in search of food during an unusually mild winter.

Beginning September 15, hunters can legally kill up to four wolves in the area where the pack is now living.

Among those at risk is Wolf 1090F, the pack's 12-year-old matriarch and one of the oldest wolves ever recorded in Yellowstone. 

Their family should not become hunting targets.

For more than a decade, she has helped lead and protect her family. 

If she or another adult is killed, five young pups could lose the wolves that feed them, protect them, and teach them how to survive.

People from across the country urged the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission to temporarily close Hunt Area 1 while Mollie's Pack raised its pups.

Instead, the Commission approved a hunting season that allows wolves in the area to be killed beginning September 15.

For Mollie's Pack, that could mean losing a parent, a sibling, or their elderly matriarch.

1090F survived harsh winters, rival wolf packs, and every challenge life in the wild brought her way.

As President of the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission, Mark Jolovich is in a position to lead the Commission in protecting Mollie's Pack.
