Help end suffering for 14,000 horses

A newborn foal can barely stand, yet she is forced to run for her life as a loud helicopter chases her from above.
Sharp rocks slice into her soft hooves until blood forms with every step.
Her mother stays close, desperate to protect her, but both are driven faster and faster with no chance to stop.
Right now, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) plans to drive away more than 14,000 wild horses across dry, unforgiving land.
Over 1,100 will be taken from Colorado alone.
Horses are stampeded until their lungs burn and their bodies collapse.
Some crash into fences or rocks and break bones.
Pregnant mares miscarry from sheer terror.
The suffering does not end when the running stops.
Families that have lived together for years are ripped apart in seconds, with foals struggling to reach mothers they will never see again.
Survivors are locked in crowded holding pens, standing in waste, exposed to scorching summers and freezing winters.
Injuries from the chase go untreated.
Some horses will never see open land again, while others face being sold for slaughter.
BLM's own records from a previous roundup documented 42 horses dead from broken necks, shattered legs, and a condition called capture myopathy, where a horse's muscles break down from being chased to the point of total physical collapse.
Even Congress has admitted these roundups are “frightening and deadly.”
A proven alternative already exists.
Fertility control vaccines can stabilize wild horse populations without a single animal being chased, broken, or killed.
The BLM has this option and chooses not to use it.
Sign this petition to demand U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum immediately halt helicopter roundups and order the BLM to replace them with humane fertility control.
You are funding $53 million of this cruelty in Colorado alone through your tax dollars.
These horses have no voice except yours.
Thank you for taking action for animals!
