Good news: A dog with nothing gives woman everything

A runner in India recently shared a video that touched thousands of hearts.
As she trained on an empty road, a homeless dog trotted beside her the entire way.
She explained that as a woman running long distances alone, she often feels vulnerable.
But the presence of community dogs makes her feel protected.
In her caption, she wrote, “They do not just guard streets. They guard souls.”
She urged viewers to ‘save strays’ and ‘protect the protectors.’ Her message was clear: dogs give people loyalty, love, and safety even when they have nothing themselves.
The comments poured in with similar stories.
One person recalled how five dogs joined him during a marathon in the middle of the night, keeping pace until he felt safe.
Another described street dogs as “the best security walking right next to you.”
The video spread quickly because it showed something often overlooked: homeless dogs are not nuisances.
They are companions, guardians, and friends who deserve protection rather than cruelty.
Yet, loyalty does not protect them from suffering.
The world's 600 million stray dogs and 87 million stray cats give birth to over 1 billion homeless puppies and kittens every year.
Those who survive repeat the cycle, leading to endless generations of suffering.
This is why we are developing a one-time, permanent-lasting, birth control Cookie that, when eaten, will spay or neuter a homeless dog or cat without surgery, to end the overpopulation crisis.
You can help the next street dog before they are born into the same misery, starting at just $5 a month.
Thank you for helping and for caring about animals.
