Frogs slaughtered for their legs are transported in tightly packed sacks where they can barely move.
Many arrive at processing facilities already injured and suffocating.
Workers pull them out and begin cutting into their bodies while they are still conscious.
No anesthesia is used.
Skin is torn from living tissue by hand.
Limbs are severed while the animals are still reacting to pain.
Frogs have been documented breathing, vocalizing, and moving for up to 15 minutes after being skinned.
This is not an isolated incident.
Investigators found the same methods repeated at every facility they visited across Asia.
Frog legs produced under these conditions are exported and sold internationally, including in the United States.
HF Foods Group, a nationwide distributor serving more than 10,000 restaurants across 21 states, continues to import frog legs from Asia.
Every shipment carries the suffering of animals cut apart while conscious and delivers it directly onto U.S. restaurant menus.
Carrefour, one of the largest supermarket chains in the world, removed frog legs from sale after public campaigns exposed how frogs are killed.
That decision proved that change is possible when cruelty is revealed.
HF Foods Group operates at a similar scale within the U.S. restaurant sector.
Its CEO has the authority to decide whether this cruelty continues.
Removing frog legs from the company’s catalog would immediately reduce the number of animals subjected to this violence nationwide.
Frogs continue to be cut apart while conscious because companies keep selling their legs.
HF Foods Group’s leadership has the power to stop being part of it.
Thank you for taking action for animals!
