New York, NY -- Last month's news that
42,000 stray dogs were shot to death in Baghdad, Iraq,
and that there
are over one million more strays to go, rekindled interest in the
charity called 600 Million Stray
Dogs Need You, which is spearheading
the development of scientific formulas that can be fed to strays, delivering long lasting birth control to the treated animals, designed to end
the stray dog over population.
Finally
a light at the end of the tunnel for the world's 600 million stray
dogs, who give birth to an
estimated one billion homeless puppies. Scientific formulas exist that can sterilize animals for years at a time.
"Different formulas are capable of ending
the annul destruction of millions of stray dogs every year,
by ending the
over population problem - without surgery and without killing", according
to veterinarian
Dr. Jeffrey Young, founder of the non profit organization Planned
Pethood International.
